Welcome to CISWA-UK, the newly formed Confederation of Independent Social Work Agencies, UK.
CISWA-UK is a not for profit organisation which brings independent social work providers together with the aim of improving the professionalism and expertise of agencies providing services to children and families.
CISWA-UK was founded on 9th June 2010 and incorporated on 6th October 2010. The Company has three Directors who are the founding members.
Our mission is to provide a national platform upon which to promote integrated and collaborative practices amongst independent social work agencies in their delivery of services to children and families.

The Contribution Of Experts In Care Proceedings: Evaluation Of The Work Of Independent Social Work Assessments
CISWA-UK is pleased to make available the full research report of Dr Julia Brophy from the University of Oxford into the role and value of Independent Social Work Reports.
The research, which was formally published on April 19th, rejects recent criticisms of ISWs and claims that far from causing delay in the family courts, ISWs may play a critical role in helping the government achieve its aim of reducing the length of care proceedings.
